Artist Statement This work captures the courage and freedom of leaving the familiar behind and sailing towards the horizon. The empty chair resting on the shoreline becomes a quiet symbol of departure—a moment of pause before embracing what lies beyond.
In the distance, two yachts journey together towards the open horizon, suggesting companionship, possibility and the promise of a new beginning. The work invites the viewer to imagine what it might feel like to let go, set sail and simply be carried towards somewhere new.
